Questions businesses ask
Does my business need a written fire risk assessment?
Yes. Fire safety law applies to almost all business premises, and since October 2023 the full assessment must be recorded in writing, regardless of how many people you employ.
How often should it be reviewed?
Regularly, and whenever something changes: a new layout, building work, more staff, or a change in what you store or how you use the space. Many businesses review it every year. I can review an existing assessment from £179.
Do you sell or service extinguishers?
No. I assess and recommend, so my advice is independent. I'll tell you exactly what you need, and you can buy it wherever you like.
Do I need to close while you're there?
Usually not. I'll work around you, and I'll tell you beforehand if I need access to anywhere in particular.
